Prof. Dr. Sylvie Paycha

Professorin am Institut für Mathematik der Universität Potsdam, beurlaubt von der Université Clermont-Auvergne in Frankreich, wo sie 16 Jahre als Professorin tätig war; besonderer Fokus auf das Thema Frauen in der Mathematik; neben anderen Aufgabenfeldern, war sie Initiatorin der European Women in Mathematics (1995-1997) und später Vorsitzende des EMS-Ausschusses Women and Mathematics (2006-2009); Kuratorin der Wanderausstellung Women of Mathematics throughout Europe, die 13 europäische Mathematikerinnen an bisher rund 100 Orten weltweit vorgestellt hat.
